Why we built Averu.
A developer's analyst spends most of the year underwriting buildings they will never buy, by hand, in a spreadsheet only they fully understand. We thought that method deserved better.
Averu does every mechanical step of an underwriting, from the architect's PDF to the number an investor can sign, and leaves every judgement to the person doing the work. Two machine phases, one human decision between.
It is built for how development actually works in Portugal: gross area as the drawing states it, the compulsory inspection, and every tax computed by the rules that apply. Every figure is exact to the cent.
The idea is simple. The method should live in the platform, not in one person's spreadsheet, so a firm keeps its edge even when the person who built the model is away, or moves on.
Averu means true, or proven. It is what a number should be before you put your name to it.
